What is reishi mushroom?

Reishi mushroom (Latin name: Ganoderma lucidum (Curtis) P. Karst.) is a fungus of the genus Ganoderma.

In China, Ganoderma lucidum was first recorded as a medicine in the "Shen Nong's Materia Medica" of the Han Dynasty.
